Located in the breathtakeing San Juan Mountains, with the Dolores River running through the town, Dolores CO is destination for those looking to explore the outdoors. Enjoy your days hiking through beautiful cliff dwellings, fishing the McPhee Reservoir, enjoying a cold one at the local brewery, shopping for Native American treasures, or buying fresh produce at the farmers market.

Dolores Colorado is a must-stop for anyone passing through or coming within ear shot of the town. We are a wonderful quaint town located in a canyon with the beautiful Dolores River jetting along one side and rock cliffs on the other. Summer temperatures range between 85 and 90 degrees with cool, clear nights. We also have nearby mountains and the second-largest reservoir in the state; the McPhee Reservoir.

The San Juan National Forest is only a mile away, which makes all of these features an outdoor enthusiast's playland. Along with the outdoors, Dolores offers a variatal mixture of shops, restaurants, pubs and even it's own brewery. There are three local parks, an extensive public library and a peaceful bike trail that runs along the captivating Dolores River. Dolores also has three RV parks to accomodate road travelers.
